Jo Ann [DeBoard] Touchstone
Seprember 17, 1928 ~ January 27, 2017


Jo Ann Touchstone, 88, formerly of Enid, passed away in Abilene, Texas, Thursday, Jan. 27, 2017.

A funeral service is 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at the Owen K. Garriott Rd, Church of Christ, Enid, with Ray Rose officiating. Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

The family received Abilene friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2017, in North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange Street.

Jo Ann was born September 17, 1928, in Covington, to Jesse and Sadie [Weber] DeBoard. She attended college and worked for Messer-Bowers Insurance for several years and also worked for the American Red Cross during World War II and the Korean War.

On Decrmber 22, 1956, she married Jacob M. "Jack" Touchstone and the couple moved to Enid from Bryan, Texas.

She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Colonial Dames, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the War of 1812, and was a founding member of the Garfield County Genealogy Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Robert and Norman, and sister Geraldine.

She is survived by one sister, Virginia Braley, three sons, seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
