Warren Thorp
September 4, 1931 ~ April 18, 2015


Celebration of Life service for Warren Thorp, 83, of Enid, Okla., will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Memorial Park Cemetery Garden Chapel, with Pastors Dan O’Daniel and Terry O'Toole officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Warren passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015, in Enid. Warren was born September 4, 1931, in Waukomis, Okla., to Everett Thorp and Myrtle [Anderson] Thorp.

He worked for Pillsbury Mill for several years before starting his own cattle business. He bought and sold cattle for Hormel and Gibbons, as well as Enid Packing Company.

He married Pearl Jackson June 30, 1951. They had three children.

Warren enjoyed racing cars and raced at Enid Speedway from 1950 to 1957. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time outdoors. Warren was a mentor to many young people who had the desire to work, and some became part of the family.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl of the home in Enid; three children, Dennis Thorp and wife Sherrie of Enid, Denise Boyce and husband Richard of Enid, and daughter, Dana Watkins of Waukomis; two brothers, John Thorp of Oregon and Larry Thorp of Cashion, Okla.; five sisters, Myrna Havas of San Antonio, Texas, Marilyn Hair of South Carolina, Rennae Anderson of Nebraska, Tamera Sims of Ketchum, Okla., and Carolee Weirether of Arlington, Texas; four grandchildren, Warren Thorlton of Enid, Jarrad Thorp of Anchorage, Alaska, Shana Schmitt and husband Nick of Yukon, Okla., and Trenton Granger and wife Sierra of Enid; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love, Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church or the Parkinson's Foundation of Oklahoma, with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.

Pearl Marie [Jackson] Thorp
February 21, 1932 ~ January 18, 2017


Graveside services for Pearl M. Thorp, age 84, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2017, in the Garden Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev Terry O'Toole officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Pearl was born February 21, 1932, in Enid, to Newton and Capitola Moore Jackson and passed away January 18, 2017, at her home.

She attended Enid Public Schools and graduated in 1950.

Pearl married Warren Thorp on June 30, 1951, and he passed away April 18, 2015, and they had three children.

She attended the Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by three children, Dennis Thorp of Enid, Denise Boyce and husband Richard of Enid, daughter Dana Watkins and financé Chris Whitworth of Waukomis; four grandchildren, Warren Thorlton of Enid, Jarrad Thorp of Anchorage, Alaska, Shana Schmitt and husband Nick of Yukon, Oklahoma, Trenton Granger and wife Sierra of Enid; twelve great-grandchildren; brother Newt Jackson and wife Cathy of Enid; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Marjorie Baldwin.

Cecil Leroy Thorp
January 7, 1940 ~ May 26, 2022


A Celebration of Life Service for Cecil Thorp, age 82, of Enid, will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with Rev. Alan Seibel officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Cecil was born January 7, 1940, in Helena, OK, to Bert and Lilly [Williams] Thorp and passed away May 26, 2022, at his home.

He attended and graduated from Helena High School in 1958. He attended Enid Business College.

He married Judy Anthony on September 4, 1959, in Helena.

Cecil worked for Owens Supply for several years and later went to work for Union Texas Petroleum and Gas and retired in 2002.

He was a member of Oakwood Christian Church.

He enjoyed being at the David Allen Ballpark with his dog Maggie. Cecil enjoyed watching his grandkids play.

Cecil is survived by his wife Judy of the home; son Mitchell Thorp and wife Maiya; daughter Sissy Mayberry and husband Bill; grandchildren, Mandy Mayberry, Megan Kelly and husband Tim, and Maddux Mayberry, Collin and wife Julia, Jacob, and Luke Thorp; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Hollis Thorp and wife Pam and Otho Jr Thorp and wife Deanna; several other family members; and his sidekick Maggie.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love or Enid SPCA, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
