April 23, 1925 - January 12, 2020

Graveside services for Margie Beth Thomas, 94 of Enid, will be 1:00 PM Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor David Miller officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Margie was born to Elex and Rachel Brickman on April 23, 1925, in Okeene, and passed away January 12, 2020, in Enid.

Growing up in Enid, she graduated from Enid High School and Enid Business College. From there she began her career at St. Mary's Hospital, where she worked as a licensed practical nurse. This is where she met her husband, Glen Thomas, also an LPN. Margie and Glen were married October 8, 1954, in Enid, where they made their home, and welcomed their only child Brian, in 1957. Once becoming widowed in 1967, Margie remained single and independent, raising her son, and working as an LPN at the Enid State School until she retired. She was also an active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Enid. A social butterfly, known for her witty sense of humor, Margie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Jessica Thomas of Enid; sister-in-law, Melba Brickman; niece, Linda Ross; nephew, Gary Brickman, as well as numerous great-nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; brother, Casey Brickman; son, Brian Thomas, and daughter-in-law, Susan Thomas. Online guestbook and condolences at www.andersonburris.com
