Graveside services for Aler D. "Tommy" Thomas, 99, will be at 11 AM Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Don Tines officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home.

Thomas was born December 29, 1889 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and died Sunday at The Living Center. After her mother died when she was seven years old, Thomas spent several years traveling the Green River with her aunt and uncle, who later brought her to Thomas, Oklahoma. She moved to Enid shortly after she married Frank Thomas on July 22, 1909. During World War II she worked in the nursery at Vance Air Force Base and later worked with the Foster Grandparent Program. She was a member of the Rebekahs, the Friscoettes, Washington Avenue Baptist Church and the Senior Citizens Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Ray Thomas.

Survivors include her daughter – in – law, Irvie Thomas; three granddaughters, 11 great – grandchildren and six great – great – grandchildren.
