Robert Hughes Tefft
December 28, 1918 ~ December 9, 2007


The funeral for Robert Hughes Tefft, 88, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev Stanley Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

He was born December 28, 1918, in Enid to Lloyd Edmond and Caroline Anna Hughes Tefft and died Sunday, December 9, 2007, in Enid.

He attended school in Spring Valley and Enid before graduating from Carrier High School. He then attended Oklahoma A&M.

He married Catharine Turner July 18, 1940, in Kingfisher. They made their home in Enid.

He served in the Army during World War II and was stationed at Fort Knox. Following his discharge, he returned to Enid where he worked for Gold Spot Dairy. He then worked at Champlin Refinery in the motor lab until his retirement in the late 1970s. He also farmed part-time.

He served on the Carrier School Board and was a member of Grace Bible Church, Enid Noon Lions, and American Legion.

Surviving are three daughters, Roberta Haskit and Ann Catharine Watkins, both of Enid, and Susan Kay Roe of Crawfordsville, Ind.; one brother, Charles Wayne Tefft of Hunter; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catharine, and two brothers.

LaRayne E. Tefft
July 29, 1928 ~ April 3, 2014


ENID, Okla. — Funeral service for LeRayne E. Tefft, 85, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Oakwood Christian Church, with the Revs. Gail Edmison and Kim Giles officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Visitation with family is 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

LeRayne was born July 29, 1928, in Enid, Okla., to Eugene and Lelia Black Tefft and passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, at The Commons Care Center.

LeRayne grew up in North Enid and attended Kremlin High School, graduating in 1946.

He married Helen Hardy on July 29, 1948, in Enid, Okla.

LeRayne started working for Bond Bakery while in high school and retired after 35 years. He later went to work for Garfield County as a grader operator for seven years. He and Helen enjoyed farming and raising cattle.

LeRayne was an active member of Bethany United Methodist Church, where he served in many areas. LeRayne was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play sports.

LeRayne is survived by his loving wife, Helen of the home; his children, Becky and Wayne Schoeling of Hunter, Eldon and Colette Tefft of Lamont, Kay and Wes Hurlbutt of North Enid, Gail and Steve Schovanec of Hunter, Jackie and Kevin Sumner of Bremerton, Wash.; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; his twin brother and best friend, LeRoy Tefft of Enid.

He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Brooke Tefft.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love or Bethany United Methodist Church, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

July 29, 1928 ~ July 4, 2015


Celebration of Life service for LeRoy A. Tefft, 86, of Enid, Okla., will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Central Christian Church, with the Rev Kim Giles officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

LeRoy was born July 29, 1928, in Enid, to Eugene and Lelia Black Tefft and passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015, at St Mary's Regional Medical Center.

LeRoy grew up in North Enid and attended Kremlin High School, graduating in 1946.

Following graduation, he began working for Bond Baking Co. as a bun machine operator.

LeRoy married his high school sweetheart, Twyla Dickman, on June 18, 1948, in Enid. She passed away October 30, 2010.

LeRoy and Twyla began married life in North Enid, where they raised four children, Linda, Jean, Patti and Scott.

They moved to a homestead, west of Enid in 1977. In 1966, he began working for North Enid schools as custodian until retiring in 1987.

They attended Bethany United Methodist Church, where he served in many areas.

LeRoy was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play sports. He loved his St Louis Cardinals.

LeRoy is survived by his children, Linda Crow and husband Robert of Glencoe, Okla., Jean Brewer of Pond Creek, Patti Watkins and husband Danny of Carrier, and Dr Scott Tefft and wife Beth of Enid; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Helen Tefft of Enid.

LeRoy and his children are very appreciative of his caregiver, Carla Henigman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, LeRayne Tefft; grandson, Eric Robert Crow; son-in-law, Dr Leon Brewer; and great-grandchild, Josie Kate Watkins.

Memorials may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Twyla Demaris [Dickman] Tefft

Funeral service for Twyla Demaris Dickman Tefft, 81, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Pastor Dean Jones and Rev. Gail Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the kind direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Twyla was born August 1, 1929, in Enid to Henry and Marjorie Krosch Dickman and passed away Saturday evening, October 30, 2010, at The Commons Nursing Home.

She attended Harrison and North Enid elementary schools and Kremlin High School, where she was valedictorian of both her eighth grade and high school classes.

Following high school graduation, she worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell for several years and was a cafeteria manager at Pioneer-Pleasant Vale schools for 21 years.

She married her high school sweetheart, LeRoy A. Tefft, on June 18, 1948, in Enid. Twyla and LeRoy began married life in North Enid, where they raised four children, Linda, Jean, Patti and Scott. They moved to a homestead west of Enid in 1977.

They attended Bethany United Methodist Church, where Twyla served as a Sunday school teacher, youth director and president of UMW.

She is survived by her husband, LeRoy of the home; three daughters, Linda Crow and husband Robert of Glencoe, Okla., Jean Brewer of Pond Creek, Patti Watkins and husband Danny of Carrier; son, Dr Scott Tefft and wife Beth of Enid; sister, Avis Hobbs of Eunice, N.M.; brother, Ted Dickman of Pampa, Texas; brother and sister-in-law and best friend, LeRayne and Helen Tefft of Enid; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Eric Robert Crow; son-in-law, Dr Leon Brewer; and great grandchild, Josie Kate Watkins.

Helen Eileen [Hardy] Tefft
October 3, 1929 ~ October 27, 2017


A Celebration of Life service for Helen Tefft age 88 of Enid will be 10 am Tuesday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev Jim Edmison and Rev Gail Edmison officiating.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00- 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Helen was born October 3, 1929 in Enid, OK to Walter and Lucile Malter Hardy and passed away at her home early Friday, October 27, 2017.

She grew up in the Kremlin community where she attended and graduated from Kremlin High School.

She married LeRayne Tefft on July 29, 1948 in Enid, OK and he passed away March 31, 2014.

She attended Enid Beauty College. She worked as a cook for the North Enid School and later Pioneer Pleasant Vale School and retired after several years.

Helen was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

Helen and LeRayne enjoyed farming and raising cattle. Helen was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids play sports.

She loved to cook and make pies. Helen was always available to listen and talk to her family.

Helen is survived by her children, Becky and Wayne Schoeling of Hunter, Eldon and Colette Tefft of Lamont, Kay and Wes Hurlbutt of North Enid, Gail and Steve Schovanec of Hunter, Jackie and Kevin Sumner of Bremerton, WA, 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and several other family members.

She was preceded in death by parents and granddaughter Brooke Tefft, sisters; Tola Jenkins, Frances Johnson, and Lee Wuerflein.

Memorials may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church or Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.

Charles Wayne Tefft
November 1, 1931 ~ November 29, 2010


HUNTER - Funeral service for Charles Wayne Tefft, 79, of Hunter, will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2010, at Hunter United Methodist Church with Rev Steve Littrell officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery . There will be a time of visitation with the family from 6-7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Charles was born November 1, 1931, at home near Enid to Lloyd Edmund and Caroline Anna Hughes Tefft. He passed on Monday, November 29, 2010, at St Mary's Regional Medical Center.

Charles was raised north of Enid. He attended Spring Valley grade school and graduated from Enid High School in 1949. He graduated from Oklahoma A&M in May 1953 with honors and a B.S. degree in agronomy and animal science and a master's degree in animal nutrition.

He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corp.

He married his college sweetheart, Donna Alicia Bolenbaugh, on December 20, 1953, at Hunter United Methodist Church.

Donna and Charles began their married life traveling with the Army. After completing military service, Charles and Donna returned to farm in the Hunter and Enid communities.

Charles farmed most of his life and was a skilled carpenter, homebuilder and craftsman. Charles also worked at Garfield County ASCS office.

Charles was a faithful member of Hunter United Methodist, serving in local and district positions. Through the church, Charles and his wife Donna were volunteers in mission and completed 23 service missions nationally and internationally. He touched many lives, sharing his faith and using his creative abilities during these mission trips.

Charles and Donna have been members of Rural Rotary Club. Charles was a loyal Oklahoma State University supporter and a fan of OSU wrestling. He was an active member of Alpha Gamma RHO Fraternity.

Charles is survived by his wife, Donna; four daughters, Carol Elizabeth Prickett and husband Kent of Pond Creek, Okla., Arlene Tefft Curry and husband Dave of Elk Point, S.D., Donita Ruth Tefft and Charlita Fay Tefft of Stillwater, Okla.; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Dorothy Bolenbaugh; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, James Elmer Tefft, Bob Hughes Tefft and Lloyd Edmund Tefft, Jr.

He will be remembered as a strong, quiet, man, with his love of God and family.
