Memorial Park Cemetery



February 8, 1941 - February 25, 2022

A Celebration of Life service for Sherry Tunnell, age 81, of Enid will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Sherry was born February 8, 1941, in Yokohama, Japan, to Tsuneo and Kimmie (Katayama) Takizwa and passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, in the Garland Road Nursing Center. She married Ronald E. Tunnell on July 24, 1967, in Tokyo, Japan, and he passed December 13, 2017. She worked in building maintenance for the City of Enid, retiring after 23 years. She was a member of Victory Bible Church.

Sherry is survived by her children, Sherry Schultz and husband Terry, Mary Ann Esqueda and husband Michael, and Terry Tunnell and wife Kristen; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love or Enid SPCA, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
