Snawder – County pioneer farmer, A. T. Snawder, 74, died Saturday at midnight at his home, 2024 E. Elm. Several months of illness preceded his death.

At the time of the opening of the Cherokee strip he made the run from southwest of Hennessey to a farm near Lahoma where he lived until coming to Enid. He was a member of the University Christian Church and served a number of years as a Deacon.

Doctor G. Edwin Osborn officiated at the funeral service held Tuesday afternoon in this church. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors are his wife of the home, three daughters, Mrs. Edgar W. Michael and Mrs. Clyde Stewart, both of Enid; Mrs. W. C. Mills of Oklahoma City; a brother, Lemon Snawder of Willamina, Oregon, and three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Hopson of Willamina, Mrs. Florence Oden of Grayford, Texas, and Mrs. Frank Ackers of Sublett, Kansas. He leaves five grandchildren.
