Services for R. A. (Bob) Richmond, 74, 1505 E. Oklahoma, will be held at 2 PM Monday in Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. T. Arnold Davis officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Richmond died Friday evening, August 3, 1984, at a local hospital.

Born January 19, 1910, in Oklahoma City, he moved to Enid with his parents at the age of four.

Richmond married Elberta M. Drum on September 6, 1931, in Caldwell, Kansas, and they established their home in Enid.

He worked at the Enid Publishing Company and the Champlin refinery for 10 years each before he and his wife established Bob's Grocery Store, 606 W. Maple, in 1941. They operated the store until 1950, when Richmond began working for West Chemical Company. He was employed there until his retirement in 1971.

Richmond was a member of the Enid Jaycees and charter president of the Exchange Club and the American Association of Retired Persons. He also was a member of the Enid I00F Lodge 31 and served as grand marshal of Oklahoma in 1962 and 1963.

Survivors include his wife, of the home, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lorene, who died August 6, 1947, four brothers and three sisters.
