The Memorial service for Roy E. Oxford,87,Enid, will be Sunday, Sept.2,2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel . Cremation will follow under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born Sept.30th,1924, in Tulsa to Rowena Hadden and Jewell Morgan Oxford and died Friday, August 31, 2012, at his home.

He grew up in Tulsa before moving with his family to Ponca City where he graduated from high school.

During World War II, he served in the U. S.Navy in the Pacific Theatre.

He was a Special Agent with the FBI from Feb.1,1951 to September 30th,1974.

In 1986, He became Director of Security for Champlin Petroleum Company.

He was Vice President of Central National Bank.

He was honored to be on the United States Golf Association Senior AM Committee from 1993-2011. He also served on the Enid Police Commission and Enid Park Board.

He is survived by his wife,Florence,three sons Neil and wife Sharon of Enid, Dean and wife, Bessie of Enid, Scot of Edmond, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a sister, June Bratten of Spring, Texas.

Memorials in his memory may made to the Oklahoma Golf Association Foundation with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
