Funeral services for Mary Owen will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Garland Road Church of Christ with Minister Gordon Jantz officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Mary was born November 13, 1926 in Vernon, Texas to Johnnie and Ruby Halford and passed away September 19, 2021 in Enid. She grew up on a farm in the Hines community in Texas. Mary graduated from Northside High School in 1945. After graduation she went to work for Southwestern Bell. Mary married Duane Owen on March 2, 1947.

Mary is survived by her husband of 74 years, Duane Owen; son, Roger Owen and wife Charlotte; daughter, Linda Kiefer and husband Glenn; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Ruby Halford; step-mother, Ann Halford; sisters, Hazel Clark and Lil Thomas.

Memorial donations may be made to Westview Boys Home with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
