Funeral rites were held Wednesday afternoon in the Fossett funeral home chapel for Mrs. Mary R. Overstreet, 73, who died Monday morning in an Enid hospital.

Rev. A. Meitler officiated.

December 18, 1870 - July 24, 1931

Emanuel Miller Overstreet was born at Dekalb, Mo., December 18, 1870 and departed this life July 24, 1931 age 60 years, seven months and six days at the University Hospital in Enid ,Oklahoma. His wife and children were all at his bedside at his death.

He was united in marriage to Miss Mary Roberta Lonberger March 25, 1894 at Lincoln Center, Kan. having resided there until December 1900 , they moved to Alva Okla., where they resided until May 1910 on moving to Hillsdale they have resided until his death.

This union was blessed with seven sons and four daughters. An infant son age 3 weeks preceded him in death on June 24, 1904. Mr. Overstreet leaves to mourn his departure a loving wife and ten children. They are Ural , Irene , Miller , Ira , Almeda and Mary Marie Overstreet all of the home , and Charlie Overstreet of Pond Creek, Mrs. Lewie Schaffer of Enid , Nye Overstreet of Hillsdale and Bryant Overstreet of Kansas City Mo.

Besides the immediate family he leaves six grandchildren, two step grandchildren , all of whom were present. Also, a sister Mrs. Almeda White of St. Joseph, Mo., and two brothers Ben Overstreet of DeKalb Mo. and James Overstreet Boise City Okla., and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock at the Hillsdale church with Rev. Fooshee of Olive Chapel delivering the sermon. Interment was made in Memorial Park.
