ENID — Funeral service for Benjamin L. “Benny” Ott, 88, of Waukomis, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Central Assembly of God, 1202 W. Oxford, with Rev. Kevin Ward officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors. Visitation with the family 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Benny was born Sept. 9, 1923, in Ames, Okla., the son of Rev. G.A. and May Ott.

He was a graduate of Ames High School in 1942.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving during WWII. His military service included the Pacific Theatre.

He was united in marriage to Arby L. Phillips Jan. 8, 1946, in Enid, Okla.

He was employed as a general contractorfor many years and retired as superintendent of building and grounds for Enid Public Schools.

He was a long time member at Central Assembly of God, where he served as deacon. He served as a commander for the Royal Rangers for over 40 years.

Survivors include his wife, Arby of the home; two sons, Arben Ott and Ann of Owasso, Okla., and David Ott and wife Sandi of Waukomis, Okla.; two daughters, Carolyn Ruane of Albuquerque, N.M., and LouAnn Robinette of Enid; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Amy Wilhoite of Claremore, Okla., and Alma Jo Marlin of Claremore, Okla.; and one brother, Jerry of Eugene, Ore.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ira and Gilbert.
