Funeral for Wilma "Jean" Omo, 82, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. today, July 20, 2012, at Willow View United Methodist Church. Pastor Lesly Broadbent and Associate Pastor James Lambert will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. She was born Oct. 22, 1929, to William Mitchell "Pete" and Venus Coombs and died Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at home. An only child, growing up in Mooreland, Okla., she enjoyed an extended, loving family of aunts, uncles and cousins in Arnett, Okla.

After graduating from high school in Mooreland, Jean married her high school sweetheart, Vaughn Robinson. To this union were born Dean, Darwin and Jeanie Jo. Jean moved to Enid and attended Enid Business College. She worked for Cummins Construction and the Cummins family for more than 50 years and was devoted to the family. She was one of the first certified professional secretaries in Enid. On February 13, 1970, she married Avis Omo. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. He preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 1997.

She was an active member of Willow View United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Dean and fianceé Ruth, Jeanie and husband Rod, Mavis and husband Jay; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many loving friends and neighbors

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother and son, Darwin.
