Memorial service for Wanda G. Olstad, 91, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at First United Methodist Church. Private family burial will precede the service in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Randy Mitchell will officiate under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Wanda was born Nov. 22, 1922, in Driftwood, Okla., to Raymond and Carrie Parker Morgan and passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, in Edmond.

She graduated from Driftwood High School and Enid Business College.

She was one of the first civilian employees for Enid Army Air Field in 1941.

She married Maynard Wood Olstad of Minneapolis, Minn., in 1942, in Enid. They lived in Independence, Kan., during the war then returned to Enid.

She worked for Campfire Council of the Plains for 20 years, retiring in 1984.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church since 1945 and active in UMW. She and Wood were charter members of Friendship School Class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard, on Nov. 13, 1983; her brother, Earl Wesley Morgan; and an infant sister.

She is survived by daughter, Sharon and husband Richard Bates of Edmond; son, Jim Olstad and wife Pam of Arlington, Texas; three granddaughters, Stephanie, Susan and Jill; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank her three nephews, Randy Morgan, Terry Morgan, Nick Brooks and their families for all their acts of kindness, visits and calls through the years.

Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church, with Brown-Cummings acting as custodian of the funds.
