Funeral services for Robert Wayne Olson, Sr, 74, Enid, will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Scott Whitley officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Silver Talon Honor Guard stationed at Vance Air Force Base.

Robert Wayne Olson, Sr, was born on November 2, 1942 to Albert Olson and Mercedes Lampton, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. He passed away from this life on January 19, 2017, at the age of 74. After growing up in Minnesota, Bob was in the USAF from 1961 to 1967. During that time, he worked on the ICBM missile defense minute man missile silos. He reached the rank of Tech Sargent and was awarded the Accommodation Medal. His service reflected exceptional technical competence, professionalism, devotion to duty. In 1988, he retired as a class A machinist from Phillips Petroleum. Robert married Janice Lee Cunningham of Alva, Oklahoma in 1964. Together they had four children.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, two brothers, Richard and Floyd, and his oldest daughter, Rhonda, and son-in-law, Vincent Martinez.

Survivors include his wife, Janice and great granddaughter, Brooklynn, of the residence; oldest son and his wife, Robbie and Bobbie of Garber, Oklahoma; younger son and his wife, Rodney and Tina Olson of Enid; daughter and her husband, Bruce and Tina Fogle of Indiana; sister, Patsy and brother, Chubber, both of Minnesota; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
