CLOVIS, N.M. — Robert Joseph O’Brien, 85, of Clovis, N.M., passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Retirement Ranch in Clovis, N.M. Robert was born July 10, 1928, in Allegany, N.Y., to Robert James and Mary Josephine (Kyser) O’Brien.

He graduated from high school in Allegany, N.Y., and joined the United States Air Force. He received an associate degree in engineering technology from Oklahoma State University.

He married Katherine Burns on May 31, 1952, in Enid, Okla. He worked for Oklahoma Gas and Electric until his retirement.

Robert enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Central Christian Church in Enid, Okla.

Robert is survived by two daughters, Patricia O’Brien of Alexandria, Va., and Judy Logsdon (John) of Clovis, N.M.; one son, Mike O’Brien (Janie) of Corn, Okla.; two grandchildren, Emily Allen of Norfolk, Va., and Shaun O’Brien.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, Don O’Brien, and one grandson, Zach Logsdon.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014, in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, Okla., with the Rev. Don Johnson officiating.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Steed-Todd Funeral Home and Crematory, 800 E Manana Blvd., Clovis, N.M. (575) 763-5541.
