ENID, Okla. — Funeral services for Clyde Nolan Norvell, 86, Enid, will be today, June 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Pastor Cody Anderson officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the United States Army.

Clyde was born on November 4, 1927 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, the son of Lloyd, Sr. and Edith Miller Norvell, and passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2014 in Enid. He was raised and educated in Wynnewood, graduating from Wynnewood High School. He served his country in the United States Army Medical Corp during the Korean War. Clyde married Mary Hale Raasch on September 6, 1949. They were married for 52 years until 2001 when she passed. Clyde was a lifelong oil field worker working the Oil Fields in Oklahoma as a welder working for K M Contractors and Sunoco. He is survived by sister, Ramona (James) Martin; sister-in-law, Joyce Norvell; step-daughter, Sandra (Charles) Johnson; step-grandchildren, Tommy (Carrie) Raasch, IV, Dee Dee (Alan) Henry, Curtis Enloe, Michael Johnson, Leandra Johnson; fifteen great-step-grandchildren and many great-great-step-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Clyde was preceded in passing by his parents, siblings, Naomi Chandler, Lloyd Norvell, Jr; step-children, Tommy Raasch, III, Kathryn Enloe.
