May 14, 1935 - April 28, 2018

Funeral service for Jack L. Norman, age 82 years, of Enid, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 3rd, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jeffrey Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Jack was born to Guy L. Norman and Betty (Besgrove) Norman Scarlett May 14, 1935, in Enid, and passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family.

Jack was baptized at the First Baptist Church at age nine, later moving his membership to Enid Church of the Brethren where he was active with the youth.

Jack attended the Enid School System, graduating from Enid High School in 1953. Trade classes throughout high school taught him the basics of printing while an after-school job in a print shop gave him the desire to pursue the trade as a career. He worked for Marr Publication prior to beginning his 40 year career with the Enid News and Eagle, retiring in 1995.

After retiring, Jack volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital becoming one of the first St. Mobile drivers.

He is survived by his wife Ruth of the home in Enid; sons, David and his wife Glynda of Cypress, Tx, Mark and his wife Kyla of Enid; daughter Christine Palmer and her husband Tim of Green Valley, AZ; granddaughter Kylene Norman of Enid; nieces and nephews.
