Graveside services for Vernon F. Nimmo, 59 year-old Lahoma resident were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2007, in Memorial Park Cemetery Garden Chapel with the Rev. Eric Brown officiating. Services were under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.

Vernon was born in St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, the son of Roy W. and Emma L. (Hye) Nimmo. He attended Lahoma High School and spent all of his life in Lahoma. Vernon worked for Garfield County District #3 and for the past 21 years worked at Northern Oklahoma Resource Center Enid. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Lahoma.

He is survived by two brothers, Wayne Nimmo and his wife Toni; Roy Nimmo and his wife Twyla, all of Lahoma.

Vernon never married and had no children of his own but always considered his five nieces and nephew his own, Amber and Kelley, Tiffany and Tashia', Deanna and Donovan Nimmo. He is also survived by his Aunt Ethel and Uncle Joe Jantz of Enid.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
