September 12, 1938 - August 04, 2018

A Celebration of Life service for Allen G. Nichols, 79, of Enid, is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Michael Nichols officiating.

Burial is in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Allen was born September 12, 1938, in Okemah, to Burl and Clemia Nichols, and went home with Jesus August 4, 2018 after a long battle with cancer.

He attended school in Drumright, where he met his sweetheart, Laura McCoin and graduated from Drumright High School.

Allen and Laura were married September 27, 1957, in Sapulpa at the First Baptist Church.

Allen and Laura made their home in Enid and had three children. He worked in the oilfield seven days a week providing for his family.

He enjoyed playing pool as well as going to the lake to boat and ski. He always enjoyed gardening and after he retired, he developed a love for golf. Allen was a wonderful cook and the family loved his brisket, fudge and chocolate cake. He will be greatly missed.

Allen is survived by his wife, Laura, and children: Michael Nichols, Steven Nichols, and Debbie and Ira Smith; his seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and one brother, Eddie Nichols.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Memorials may be made in his name to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation - Cancer Division.

Condolences may be made online at www.LadusauEvans.com.
