Pearl was born February 8, 1912 in Clyde, TX, to William Robert “Billy Bob’’ and Veleria (Copeland) Trim. She married Clyde “Curly’’ Oliver Bruce from Garber, OK, on February 28, 1935. Soon after, the family moved to Enid and made it their home. Once settled in Enid, Pearl began serving in the nursery at Calvary Baptist Church, and out of that experience she began to care for children in her home. She eventually started a child care center that continued for many years. Her husband Clyde died November 13, 1964. Pearl married Truman Herbert “Herb’’ Netherton March 18, 1972. Eventually they moved to Golden Oaks, where they attended Sunday chapel service regularly, and Pearl stayed active by playing dominos, attending meetings at the Enid Senior Center, participating in exercise classes and many other activities.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; two sisters and her two husbands, Clyde Bruce and Herb Netherton. She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Claudette and Jerome Lake, Alexandria, VA; son Carl Wesley Bruce, Wichita, KS; step-son Clyde Wayne Bruce, Borger, TX; step-son and his wife, Truman and Virginia Netherton, Burlington, MA; step-daughter and her husband Janet and Rev.
