The funeral for Phyllis Nelson, 59, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Sue Miers will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.

She was born Jan. 15, 1947, to Olen and Beula Rowe Holloway and died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid.

She married Jon Nelson. They made their home in Breckinridge. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are two brothers, Mike Holloway of Lahoma and Terry Holloway of Boise City; two children, Kimberly Pearson of Home, Kan., and Kevin Smith of Garber; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jon.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Diabetes Association, American Heart and Lung Association or SPCA.

Phyllis Nelson died Feb. 13, 2006, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center from complications of a lengthy illness. Phyllis was the wife of Jon Nelson. They made their home in Breckinridge.

She was born Jan. 15, 1947, to Olen and Beula Rowe Holloway. They preceded her in death.

She is survived by two brothers, Mike Holloway of Lahoma and Terry Holloway and wife Rhonda of Boise City. Phyllis also is survived by two children from a previous marriage, Kimberly Pearson and husband Chuck of Home, Kan., and Kevin Smith and wife Renee of Garber; several grandchildren, Matthew Wall-ace, Mandie Wallace, Mike Wallace, Ethen Pearson, Josh and Jeramy Smith; three stepgrandchildren, Jennifer, Char-lie and Nicole Pearson; and one great-grandchild, Sammie Stroemer.

Phyllis enjoyed traveling with Jon seeing different areas of the U.S. while Jon worked. Phyllis loved her grandchildren, their dogs Sadie and Jack, but most of all being with her family on holidays. She was a very special mother, wife, and sister who will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held today, Feb. 17, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Sue Miers will officiate. A graveside service will be held at the chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery and burial will follow under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association, American Heart and Lung Association or SPCA with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.
