Funeral services for Norvella Nelson are 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2022, Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Services by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Visitation for family, friends 6-7 p.m. Sunday at funeral home.

Norvella June Buckminster Nelson

May 17, 1931 - March 24, 2022

Funeral services for Norvella Nelson will be held 2:00pm, Monday, March 28, 2022 in the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kelly Cronkhite officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be 6-7 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Norvella was born May 17, 1931 near Lahoma to Norval and Alice (Finkenbinder) Buckminster and passed away March 24, 2022. She was baptized at Drummond Congregational Church and was a member of Carrier Congregational Church. Norvella graduated from Drummond High School in 1949. She also graduated from Enid Business College. Norvella helped her husband Ray with their farm and ranch operation in the Carrier area. Norvella enjoyed volunteering, reading and spending time with family.

Norvella is survived by her son, David Nelson and wife Nancy of Carrier; daughter, Cindi Browne and husband Mark of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Sarah Browne, Christopher Browne and wife Stephanie, Elizabeth Browne, Andy Nelson and wife Tara, and Brady Nelson; siblings, Alice Ruth Dierksen, Clifford Buckminster and wife Jean, and sister-in-law, Jane Ann Stewart and husband Bob.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Ray E. Nelson; siblings, John Norval Buckminster, Dorothy Went, Virginia Hill, Evelyn Young, and Charles Buckminster.
