© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma October 1973 March 18, 1909 ~ October 14, 1973 William Roy Marshall, El Reno, died in a hospital there Saturday afternoon, October 14, 1973. Graveside rites will be at 3 PM Tuesday in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid. Arrangements are under the direction of the Benson Funeral Home of El Reno. He was a member of the UTU and the University Place Christian Church here. Marshall was born March 18, 1909, in Bolivar, Missouri, and moved to Enid in 1912, then to El Reno in 1948. He was a brakeman on the Rock Island Railroad. Survivors include his wife Ruth of the home; two sons, Lee of El Reno and Bobby Jo, Yuba City, California; brother, Joe of Enid; four sisters, Mrs Roy Bymum of Tulsa, Mrs Marjorie Kabotski of Tulsa, Mrs Jean Hinze and Mrs Paul Crist, Tulsa; six grandchildren. |
© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma February 12, 2014 May 11, 1922 ~ February 1, 2014 ENID, Oklahoma - Graveside service for Virginia Pearl Marshall, 91, of Enid, Oklahoma, will be 2 pm Thursday, February 13, 2014, in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Pearl was born May 11, 1922, in Garber, Oklahoma, to Elijah and Mary E. Nichol Evans and passed away Monday, February 10, 2014, at Enid Senior Care. She grew up in Garber and later moved to Enid. She married Edgar Marshall February 8, 1946, in Enid, Okla. He passed away May 4, 2013. She was a member of Enid Moose Lodge, where she was very active. She loved Bingo, going to casinos, Dr Pepper and fishing. Pearl was loved by her friends and her caregivers at the Enid Senior Care Center. Survivors include Veda Kirkham and friends Anthony and Madonna McElfresh and family. © Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Enid, Oklahoma April 10, 1923 ~ May 4, 2013 Edgar was born April 10, 1923, in Benwood, WV, the son of Harry and Minnie Patterson Marshall. He was united in marriage to Virginia Pearl Evans February 8, 1946, in Enid, Oklahoma. Mr Marshall was employed for many years as a printer for Enid Publishing Co. He was a 50-year member of the Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and a sister. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at the Garden Chapel in Memorial Park Cemetery. Service will be conducted by the Moose Lodge. Military honors will be provided by The United States Army. |

Marshall, 84, of Enid, will be 10 am Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel, with Jean Kligora of Grand Lake Community Church and Thomas L. Westbrook of Stillwater, Okla., co-officiating. A private family graveside will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Cremation and service is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Beverly was born July 20, 1927, to William F. and Opal Cansler in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She grew up in rural Oklahoma City, attending Star Elementary, where she played on the girls' basketball team. She graduated from Northwest High School. She married Leonard Marshall June 17, 1951, in Oklahoma City. The couple moved to Enid in 1959, where she worked at Vance Air Force Base and then for 1st National Bank. At the age of 52, she returned to school, receiving nursing degrees from Phillips University and O.T. Autry Vocational, and her R.N. degree from NOC, Tonkawa, in 1987. She worked as a registered nurse, first in home healthcare and then at Meadowlake Behavioral Hospital for 17 years, until retiring in 2010 at the age of 82. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by daughter, C.J. Kligora and husband Jeff of Orange Lake, Florida; two sons, Michael and Mark Marshall, both of Enid; grandchildren, Jon Marshall and wife Natalie of Enid, Angela Guinn of Claremore, Bradley Marshall of Owasso, David Kligora and wife Laura of Grand Junction, Colo., and Chris Kligora of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; eight great grandchildren; brother, William F. Cansler of Edmond; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters. |

, Oklahoma - April 22, 1943 ~ August 4, 2013 ENID, Oklahoma - Funeral service for Marvin S. Marshall, age 70, will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at 10 am at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Wade will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, from 6-7:30 p.m., at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Marvin was born April 22, 1943, in Pawnee, OK, to Wesley and Opal [Garner] Marshall and died August 4, 2013, at his home. He married Barbara Buchanan on August 10, 1983, in Enid, Oklahoma. He worked for Long's John Deere. He was a member of the OKGTPA Lawn and Garden Club, M&B Lofts and Pigeon Association. Survivors include his wife, Barbara of the home; children, Marvin Lee Marshall of Prairie Grove, AR, Rachella Marshall of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Jeff Burdick of Portland, Maine, and Shelly Burdick of Denton, Texas; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and brother, Melvin Marshall of Pawnee, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Edward Marshall. Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation & Diabetes Division. Jacksonville, North Carolina Sunday, January 28, 2018 April 13, 1958 ~ January 24, 2018 David Johnson Marshall, 59, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Brookstone Living. David was born in Enid, OK and was the son of the late Henry and Viola Clark Marshall. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Jones Funeral Home Chapel, Jacksonville. Reverend Jody Yopp will be officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, OK beside his parents. He is survived by two brothers, Oza Marshall of Verona, NC and Tillman Marshall and wife, Agnes of the home; two sisters, Olyne Unruh and husband, Marvin of Eugene, OR and Sharon Hunt and husband, Larry of Woodward, OK. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family ask for memorials to be made to the Kellum Baptist Church Building Fund, 1167 Kellum Loop Rd., Jacksonville, NC 28546. |
