© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma Thursday, May 06, 1937 October 6, 1856 ~ May 6, 1937 George J. Malter, 79, of t5 North Tenth, a resident of Enid for the last several years and of the Kremlin community for several years previously to that time, died at the family home early Thursday, following a long illness. He is survived by his widow of the home, and seven children. They are George Mlter of Moberly, MO, Mrs John Mowe og Collinsville, Ill, W. J. Malter of Tulsa, former police chief of Enid; Oliver Malter of Kremlin, Mrs Walter Hardy of Kremlin and Roy and Thelma of the home. He was a member of the Modern Woodman Lodge. The funeral will be on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery |
© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma Monday, June 27, 1938 July 18, 1862 ~ June 26, 1938 Mrs Katie Malter, 75, a resident of Enid and the vicinity for 28 years, died unexpectedly at noon Sunday at her home in the Kisner apartments of a heart attack. She was stricken suddenly and members of the fmily had an inhalator brought from the Enid fire department in an unsuccessful effort to revive her. Survivors are four sons, William J. Malter of Wichita, former Enid chief pf police; George E. Malter of Moberly, MO, Oliver Malter of Pomd Creek, Leroy Malter of the home, and three daughters, Mrs John Mowe of Collinsville, Ill, Mrs Lucille Hardy of Kremlin and Miss Thelma Malter of the home. |
© Enid Daily News Enid, Oklahoma June 1974 June 9, 1892 ~ June 20, 1974 Funeral services for Mrs Mary Ann Malter, 82, of Lamont will be at 2 PM Wednesday in the Henninger-Allen Funeral home Chapel with Dr Jack Featherston officiating. She died June 30, 1974. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors are two sons, Virgil L. of Highland, California, and Robert L. of Portland, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Jane Robinson of Long Beach, California; and four grandchildren. Those who wish may contribute to the Lamont United Methodist Church in her memory. Henninger-Allen will act as custodian of the funds. |
© Henninger Hinson Funeral Home Garfield County, OK August 3, 1968 May 26, 1901 ~ August 3, 1968 Srvices will be held at 10:10 am today in Henninger-hinson Funeral Home Chapel, for LeRoy Malter, 67, 1925 E Chesnut, who died Saturdsy afternoon following a short illness.Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, with Dr John Russell Officiating. Mzlter was born May 26, 1901 in Caswyville, Ill. He came to Oklahoma with his parents in 1909, settling on a farm near Kremlin. He was raised and attended schools in the Kremlin area. Malter operated the Midway garage at Kremlin deom 1925 until 1942. He served with the Army Air Force during World War II. Mlter came to Enid in 1943 where he has made his home since, He was a long time employe of Art's machine shop. Mlter was a member of the Kremin Methodist Church, Kremlin Masonic Lodge and Shrine. Survivors include one sister, Mrs Pete [Thelma] Toews, Enid, and brother, Oliver R. Malter, Lamont. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. |
© Henninger Hinson Funeral Home Garfield County, OK April 1974 March 19, 1895 ~ April 4, 1974 Oliver L. Malter, 79, Lamont, died early Thursday morning, April 4, 1974, in a local hospital following a short illness. Services will be Monday at 2 PM in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev Nick E. Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The Lamont United Methodist Church has been suggested as a suitable memorial, with the funeral home as custodian. Malter was born March 19, 1895, in Belleville, Illinois. He came to Oklahoma with his parents in 1909 and attended schools in Kremlin. He married Mary Ann Lawrence on January 4, 1922, and since 1942 they made their home on a farm at Lamont. He was a member of the Lamont United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge at Kremlin. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann, of the home; two sons, Virgil L., Highland, California, and Robert L., Portland, Texas; one sister, Mrs Pete Thelma] Toews, Enid and four grandchildren. |
