© Enid Morning News Enid, Oklahoma September 1997 March 8, 1924 ~ September 2, 1997 Graveside services for Donald Francis Mahan, age 73, will be at 2 PM Saturday at the Memorial Park Cemetery with Major Joseph C. Vella, Catholic Chaplain of Vance Air Force Base officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Donald was born March 8, 1924 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to John Mahan and Genevie Kennett Mahan and died Tuesday at his home. He graduated from the Lawrence, Massachusetts school system. Donald enlisted in the United States Navy upon graduation. He served in World War II and in the Pacific commanding submarines. Donald retired after 28 years as a commander. In November 1994, he married Betty Wimer in Enid. They made their home in Hallett, Oklahoma. Donald was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, the Elks Lodge and the United States Submarine Veterans. Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Jack Mahan of Watsonville, California; two daughters: Susan Mahan of Aptos, California and Lori Rapp of Stevensville, Montana; one brother, Bill Mahan of Andover, Massachusetts; two grandchildren: Donald amd Kelly of Watsonville, California. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Memorials can be made to the Hospice of Green Country, Tulsa, Oklahoma, or the American Cancer Society with the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the fund. |
© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma October 20, 2018 January 28, 1935 ~ October 18, 2018 Funeral services for Roy George Mahan, age 83, of Enid, are 1:00 pm Monday, October 22, 2018, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Keith Luttrell officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Roy was born January 28, 1935 in Enid Oklahoma to Opal and Roy C. Mahan. Roy graduated from Enid High School in 1953 where he developed many lifelong friendships. After high school he served in the United States Navy. He later got his Bachelor Degree of Accounting from Phillips University. He started his career at Hackney Iron & Steel and then worked at Vance Air Force Base as a Comptroller until his retirement. Roy treasured spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by Debbie [Mark] Gardner of Edmond, OK, Randy [Lori] Mahan of Wichita, KS, and Shelley [Brad] Graham of Argyle, TX. Grandchildren: Garrett, Owen and Jack Graham, Taylor Mahan McKee, Conner Mahan and Christian Gardner; and brother, Bill Mahan of Bethany, OK. Roy is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Opal Mahan, daughter Sharon Mahan, wife Janell Mahan and brothers Paul and Leon Mahan. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr Mason Andrews, the nursing staff at St Mary's Hospital and Greenbrier skilled nursing. Memorials can be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Renal Cancer Division, Enid SPCA, or FurEver Friends with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds. © Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma July 28, 1993 January 17, 1959 ~ July 26, 1993 "In loving memory of our Daughter and Sister, Sharon Patrice Mahan" Sharon Patrice Mahan born January 17, 1959 in Enid to Roy G. and Joy A. Mahan. Sharon was a special child with special needs, but one who gave so much to those whose lives she touched. Sharon is survived by her parents; two sisters, Debra Gardner and husband Mark of Oklahoma City; and Shelley Graham and husband Brad of Naperville, Ill.; one brother Randy Mahan and his wife Lori, of Oklahoma City; two nephews, Garrett and Owen Graham; and two nieces, Amber and Ashley Gardner. She was preceded in death by her Maternal and Paternal Grandparents. Services for Sharon, who passed away Monday in the University Hospital, OK City will be 1 pm Thursday in the First Assenbly of God Church with Pastor Robert Florence officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid. |
