© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma April 15 1943 1865 ~ April 5, 1943 Kremlin Pioneer Taken By Death Mrs Amanda E. Madden, 78, pioneer resident of Kremlin, died Friday night at an Enid hospital. At the opening of the Cherokee Strip, Mrs Madden came to Oklahoma and homesteaded a farm near Kremlin where she continued to make her home. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs Stella Herbison of Hutchinson, Kansas, and three sons, Edward Brown of Kremlin, George Brown of Los Angeles, California, and James Madden of Kremlin. Also she leaves a sister, Mrs Eran Taylor of Kansas City and three brothers, Drury Williams of King City, Missouri, George Williams of Saint Joseph, Missouri, and Henry Williams of Grand Island, Nebraska. The Darnall funeral home is caring for the body. Arrangements for the funeral are pending. |
