© Enid Morning News Enid, Oklahoma April 1977 Mrs Roy [Virgie L.] Kummell, 79, 601 N. Sixth, died early Wednesday in a local hospital. Her service will be Saturday at 10 AM in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Finis O'Neal officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs Kummell was born April 12, 1897, in Wise County, Texas. She came to Oklahoma at an early age with her parents, settling on a farm near Altus. She was raised and attended schools in the Altus area. On August 23, 1933, she married Roy Kummell at Altus. They made their home in Quincy, California, from 1937 to 1968 at which time they moved to Enid. Survivors include her husband, Roy; one son, Travis A. Pelfrey, San Jose, California; one daughter, Mrs Forrest [Bernice] Wilson, Niece, California; seven grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two brothers, Leland Palmer and T. J. Palmer, both of Bakersfield, California; and two sisters |
© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma September 25, 2008 une 9, 1958 ~ August 21, 2008 The graveside service for Rory Allen Kummell, 50, of Enid, was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Dan O'Daniel officiated. Arrangements were by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. He was born June 9, 1958, in Enid to Clarence Raymond and Wilda Marie Endersby Kummell and died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at his home. He was raised and educated in Enid, graduating from Enid High School in 1976. He then studied computer science at City College in Oklahoma City. He lived in Colorado and moved back to Enid in 2008. Surviving are his mother, Marie, of Enid, and one sister, Tammy Renee Hulsey of Enid. He was preceded in death by his father. |
