Kruse, 60, who died suddenly in his home eaely Thursday morning, will be at 2:30 pm Saturday in the Saint Paul's Lutheran Church. Pastor August Meitler will officiate and burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Fossett Funeral Home. Kruse was born at Hinton in 1908 and moved with his parents at an early age to a home south of Enid. A former millwright with Pillsbury, Kruse retired three years ago because of his health, after being with the company for 23 years. He was married to Eileen Hare July 3, 1937 in Enid. Kruse was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church. Survivors are his wife Eileen of the home at 708 N 13th; two daughters, Marianna Kruse,Minnesota and Carol Kruse of the home; a foster daughter, Mary Ann Reinhart, Omaha, Neb, three sisters, Mrs Everett [Elsie] Eggers, Fairmont, Mrs Henry [Edna] Hildebrandt, Enid and Mrs Harod [Erna] Wright, Enid; a brother, Leonard Kruse, Enid. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Kruse and a brother Walter. |

© Enid News and Eagle Enid, Oklahoma October 5, 2005 August 11, 1917 ~ October 3, 2005 The funeral for Adrian Kruse, 88, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Bible Baptist Church. The Rev Terry A. Chick will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the Veteran of Foreign Wars, Local 2270. Arrangements are by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. He was born August 11, 1917, in Beaver County to George and Allie Handle Kruse and died Monday, October 3, 2005, at Integris Bass Pavilion. He grew up and attended school in Beaver County. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1945, with the rank of private. He moved to Enid in 1945. He married Phoebe Vanhoozer October 11, 1946, in Vinita. She died on January 4, 1994. He attended A&M; Tech Television Repair School in Okmulgee and worked for Klingenberg and CO for 14 years. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church. Surviving are several cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phoebe. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Bible Baptist Church. © Enid Morning News Enid, Oklahoma August 1974 January 5, 1918 ~ December 8, 1974 Mrs Walter G. [Hazel] Kruse, 56, 2109 W. Cherokee, died Monday in a local hospital. She was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church where her funeral will be at 2 PM Thursday. Pastor Kenneth E. Wade and Pastor A. Meitler will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Fossett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The body will lie in state in the church from 1 PM until service time and the casket will remain closed after the service. Mrs. Kruse's family has suggested the American Cancer Society or Saint Paul's Lutheran Church as suitable memorials. Contributions in her memory may be left with the church office or the funeral home. Mrs Kruse was born and grew up in Benington, attended schools in Dallas, Texas, and moved to Garber in 1938. She and Walter G. Kruse were married November 24, 1940, in Enid and he died August 20, 1964. She was also predeceased by a brother, a sister and a grandchild. Mrs. Kruse had lived in Enid since 1940 and was store manager for the W. T. Grant Company for 15 years. Her survivors include two daughters, Mrs Richard [Delores] Pralle, Thornton, Colorado, and Mrs A. P. [Beverly] Maleske he of Rock Springs, Wyoming; five brothers, Roy Morris and D. L. Morris of Towanda, Kansas, Tildon Morris, Temple City, California, Elbert Morris, Peabody, Kansas, and Tom Morris, Sharon, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Mrs Verlie Berry of Towanda and Mrs Arline Gillmin, Peabody; four grandchildren.br> |
