Johnie George Krol
August 27, 1929 ~ November 10, 2023


Johnie George Kroll, rural Perry, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, at the Garland Road Nursing Home in Enid, Oklahoma. He was 94 years old.

Johnie Kroll was born August 27, 1929, in Garber, Oklahoma, the son of George Kroll and Marie Goedeke Kroll.

He grew up in Garber and graduated from Garber High School in the late 1940s, then continued his education with some college.

He was a farmer/rancher and raised cattle and hay. He loved competing in tractor pulls and shows and boasts several trophies from his winnings. He had a collection of a few antique tractors and collected several model tractors.

He loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed his dog, Buster.

He has been a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Perry since the early 1960s.

He is survived by one son: Keith of Coweta, Oklahoma; six grandchildren: Justin Kroll, Marla Kay Campbell and her husband Greg, Salina Kroll, Mark Wagner and his wife Kandie, Wade Wagner and his wife Ashley and Amy Nevius and her husband Matt; eight grandchildren; one sister, Luella Stacy of Blackwell, Oklahoma; son-in-law, Marvin Wagner; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan Sharkey Kroll; daughter, Arline Wagner; son, Clayton Kroll; sister Lucille Stower; and brothers, Dean Kroll and Gene Kroll.

Velma Ada Christina [Niehus] Kroll
February 24, 1917 ~ February 20, 2015


Velma Ada Christina Niehus [Pope] Kroll, 97, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to her heavenly home with Jesus on Friday, February 20, 2015.

Velma was born February 24, 1917, to her parents, Eldo and Anna Niehus of Fairmont, Okla.

Preceded in death by both husbands, Herbert J. Pope and Herman H. Kroll; parents; sisters, Tillie Meyer and Leona Cutter; brothers, Art, Willie and baby boy.

Velma is survived by five children: son, Gerald [Arba Jo] Pope of Covington, Okla.; daughters, Brenda [Keith] Lesher, Bonnie [Dakin] Cramer, both of Wichita, Sharlene [Vince] Micelli of Derby, Kan., Connie [David] Tajchman of Bel Aire, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

Velma loved her family and always set an example of unconditional love. Her favorite saying was "always be nice," and she lived by that in every aspect of her life.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the many years of compassionate care provided by Andover Court Assisted Living and the comfort and care given by Rivercross Hospice. Velma was a lifetime member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at Zion Lutheran Church, 510 Fairmont Road, Fairmont, OK 73736. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev Timothy Dorsch officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Betty JoAnn [Richardson] Kroll
February 5, 1936 ~ January 6, 2019


A Celebration of Life for Betty Kroll, 82, of Enid, is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Community Bible Church in Green Valley, Pastor Bill Smith officiating.

Interment follows in Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Betty was born February 5, 1936, on the family farm near Independence, Kansas, to James and Lula Mae [Damewood] Richardson, and passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019, in Enid.

She married Jim Yell November 4, 1953, in Coffeyville, Kansas, and to this union four children were born. They moved to Enid in 1969.

She went to work as a machinist for Central Machine & Tool, where she met Glen Kroll. They were married on September 23, 1994.

They both eventually retired and moved to Breckenridge to be closer to their farm. Betty was a devout Christian and loved Jesus. She and Glen were members of the Zion Lutheran Church in Fairmont.

They farmed in the Fairmont, Garber, and Breckinridge areas until Glen passed away in 2016.

Music was an important part of Betty's life. She loved singing, writing music, and playing her guitar. She was a talented quilt maker, making quilts for her family members. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and her beloved dog Lulu.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, James and Lula Mae Richardson; husband Glen Kroll; brother, Bruce Allen Richardson; nephew, Allen Richardson; grandson, Danny Miller Jr; and son-in-law, Bill Halliburton.

She is survived by two daughters, Carla Estes and husband Randy, of Enid; Cristi Power, of Enid; two sons, Jim Yell and wife Cathy, of Delaware, OK; Rockie Yell and wife Jackie, of Coffeyville, KS; three step-sons, Lynn, Joe, and Tony Kroll, and their families; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, June Rexwinkle; as well as many nephews, cousins, and other family.

Memorial contributions in Betty's name may be made to Enid SPCA or the Wounded Warrior Project, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Glen Franklin Kroll
January 31, 1939 ~ March 30, 2016


A Celebration of Life for Glen F. Kroll, age 77 years, of Breckinridge, is 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fairmont, OK. Reverend Timothy Dorsch will officiate, with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Glen was born January 31, 1939 in Enid to Frank August Kroll and Minnie [Cohrs] Kroll, and passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 following a sudden illness.

Glen attended Immanuel Lutheran School of Breckinridge, then graduated from Garber High School in 1956. He married Betty Richardson on September 23, 1994. He was a life-long farmer and also worked for Central Machine and Tool. Service to the church was a high priority for Glen, serving as an Elder in both Immanuel Lutheran Church in Breckinridge, and Zion Lutheran Church in Fairmont.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Wayne Kroll and step grandson, Danny Miller Jr

Glen is survived by his wife Betty, of Breckinridge; three sons, Lynn, Joe, and Tony; three grandchildren, Alex, Katie, and Mary Beth; four step children, Jimmy Yell, Carla Estes, Rockie Yell, Cristi Power; ten step grandchildren; numerous step- great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard Schultz and wife Iva, and Milburn Kroll and wife Fran, one sister Marlene Smith and husband Bill; and sister-in-law Mickey Kroll.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Linda Gail [Hutcheson] Kroll
March 16, 1939 ~ December 11, 2015


The funeral service for Linda Gail [Hutcheson] Kroll, 76, of Breckinridge, OK will be held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Brian Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Linda was born March 16, 1939, in Enid to John Edwin & Ruth Artlissa [Maxey] Hutcheson and passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 at The Commons.

Linda graduated from Garber High School in 1957.

She married Donald Otto Kroll on March 23, 1958 at University Place Christian Church, Enid. They were married 39 years until the time of Donnie's death, July 5, 1997.

They owned and operated Don Kroll Construction Company and she worked several years in various offices of the Garfield County Courthouse. She was a member of the Harmonettes Home Demonstration Club and the Pleasant Vale Community Church.

Linda is survived by daughters, Vickie Steinert & husband, Phil, Toni Bond, Shari Monsees & husband, Chuck, all of Breckenridge; son, Rick Kroll & wife, Stacy, of Covington; grandchildren, Scott Steinert & wife, Kristi, Haley [Steinert] Williams & husband, Justin, Tara [Bond] Hannaford & husband, Bo, Levi Bond & wife, Marie; Brady Bond & Cody Bond, Alec, Mason & Landon Monsees, Luke, Matthew, James & Rebecca Kroll; great-grandchildren, Colton & Aubri Steinert, Daxton Williams, Carson & Tucker Hannaford, Kailyn, Jake & Kinsley Bond; brothers Edwin Hutcheson & wife, Jeaneal, Jack Hutcheson & wife, Donna, and sister, Rita Edgar; brothers-in-law, Ray Dean Postier, Ralph Kroll & wife Barbara, sisters-in-law Betty Herth & husband, Don; Deborah Kroll, and many family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Kroll; her parents, John & Ruth Hutcheson, granddaughter, Andrea Steinert, sister, Joyce Postier, and brothers-in-law, Jack Edgar & Ray Dean Kroll.
