Jacob David Koop
February 2, 1904 ~ June 1, 1980


Oklahoma City - Jacob David Koop, 76, died Sunday in an Oklahoma City hospital.

He was a retired postal clerk and a former Enid resident.

Also a member and Deacon of the Baptist Temple Church, Oklahoma City.

Funeral service will be at 10 AM Tuesday in the Baptist Temple Church with the Rev Gene Alder officiating. Committal service will be at 2:30 PM in the Enid Memorial Park Cemetery. Hahn-Cook-Street and Draper Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Lydia; one daughter, Luella M. Burtz, Marietta, Georgia; two sons, Edwin H. Koop, Oklahoma City, and Alfredd J. Koop, Haines City, Florida; one sister, Esther Stephens, Wichita, Kansas; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Lydia Lillian [Heinrichs] Koop Krause
February 28, 1910 ~ July 28, 2011


Lydia L. Heinrichs Koop Krause, age 101, passed from this life on July 28, 2011. She was born in a sod house near Kirk, Colorado on February 28, 1910. She was the second of 12 children of Jacob and Mary Heinrichs.

At the age of 17 her parents and family moved to Enid, Oklahoma.

This is where she met and married her husband J.D. Koop.

She became a nurse, working many happy years in that field, primarily at St Mary's Hospital in Enid.

She was a great seamstress, loved reading and gardening, and was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

After retirement, Lydia and J.D. moved to Reedley, California to be near her family and after five years, they returned to Oklahoma City.

In 1998 Lydia moved to Marietta, Georgia to be near her daughter.

Lydia was a member of Baptist Church in Enid, Oklahoma City and Smyrna, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, J.D. Koop, son Jim Koop, and husband of six years, John Krause.

Her survivors include one sister, Linda Plett of San Jose, California, son Edwin H. Koop and wife Carol of Oklahoma City, daughter Luella M. Burtz and husband Bill of Marietta, Georgia, daughter-in-law Esther Koop of Joplin, Missouri, five grandchildren, Mike [Kayanne] Burtz, Carol Burtz [Bob] Davis, Kenneth [Diane] Burtz, Alan [Maki] Koop, and Kim Koop; eight great grandchildren, Kristen, Lauren, Jessica, Melissa, Andrew, Katie, Jason, and Hana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are to be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the Hahn-Cook-Street & Draper Chapel, 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, OK.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid
