September 12, 1927 ~ February 3, 2008


A graveside service for Raymond L. Koegel, age 80, will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at the Memorial Park Garden Chapel, with Rev. John McLemore officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

He was born to Albert H. and Bernice [Herbison] Koegel on September 12, 1927, in St. Joseph, Missouri, and died Sunday, February 3, 2008, at St Mary's Regional Health Center.

Raymond grew up in Saint Joseph and graduated from Lafayette High School. He then served in the United States Marines from 1945 to 1951.

After his discharge from the Marines, he married Connie Yeakley on June 8, 1952 in Saint Joseph. They made their home in Saint Joseph for one year before moving to Dallas, where they lived one year. They then moved to Irving, TX and resided there for twelve years.

Raymond was transferred to Enid, working at Speedstar. He later worked as an accountant for Central National Bank for thirteen years until his retirement.

Raymond enjoyed traveling, feeding the birds and squirrels, and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.

He was a member of Central Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife Connie, of the home; daughter Cynthia Worthington and husband Gary of Dallas, TX, son Eric Koegel and wife Penny of Edmond; two grandchildren, Jeremy Hammonds and wife Amanda, and Janessa Hammonds; and one step grandson, Dusty Franklin.

Raymond was preceded in death by his brother Albert C. Koegel, and two sisters, Margaret E. Frank and Evelyn J. Wayne.

Constance "Connie" [Yeakley] Koegel
March 9, 1934 ~ July 9, 2014


ENID, OK - A graveside service for Connie Koegel, 80, will be at 10 a.m. today, July 12, 2014, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev John McLemore officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home

Connie was born to Hobart and Hazel [Countryman] Yeakley on March 9, 1934, in Saint Joseph, Mo., and passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014, in Plano, Texas.

Connie grew up in St. Joseph and graduated from Benton High School.

On June 8, 1952, she married Raymond Koegel. They moved to Enid in 1966.

Connie was a member of Central Christian Church.

She was a homemaker and the best cook there ever was.

She liked to read and enjoyed word puzzles and working in the yard. After Raymond's death, Connie moved to Plano to be near her daughter.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Cynthia and Gary Worthington of Dallas; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; son, Eric, and granddaughter Janessa.
