Kliewer, 101, of Enid, will be held 2:00 P.M Monday January 15, 2018 in the Willow Road Christian Church with Pastor Carrell Still officiating, burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. She was born August 30, 1916 to Lewis and Bertha Smith Pickens on a homestead between Grand and Arnette In Ellis County. The family moved to Canton, Oklahoma when she was four years old, there she attended school, graduating from Canton High School in 1935. During World War II, she was a "rivet bucket" worker, building airplanes at Beechcraft in Wichita, Kansas. On October 4, 1938 she married Arthur Kliewer, in Canton, Oklahoma, the couple lived in McPherson, Kansas, Wichita, Kansas, and Longdale, Oklahoma where she was a homemaker before moving to Enid. After moving to Enid, she worked part-time at Enid News and Stationary. Rose was well known for her delicious Homemade cinnamon rolls, donuts, bread and fried chicken. She was also known for sharing her paintings with family and friends. She was a member of the Willow Road Christian Church and The Order of The Eastern Star Enid Chapter 36. She is survived by her 6 children, Donald Kliewer and wife Diane, of Enid; Barbara Burnett, of Yukon; Larry Kliewer, of Broken Arrow; Bertha Jennings, of Enid; Bonnie Gainey and husband Phil, of Enid; and Beverly Carroll, of Enid; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, sixteen great great grandchildren, and one great great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, her parents, two great granddaughters, and one great grandson. Memorials may be made to The Order of the Eastern Star Enid Chapter 36, Feed the Children or a charity of your choice with Brown-Cummings serving as custodians of the funds. |

© Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Enid, Oklahoma September 2011 August 22, 1926 ~ September 16, 2011 Esther M. Kliewer, age 85, of Enid OK, was born August 22, 1926, in Enid to Abraham and Gertrude Toews Braun and passed away on September 16, 2011, in the Greenbrier Village Nursing Home in Enid. She grew up and attended school in North Enid until her graduation from Kremlin High School in 1944. She married Andrew Kliewer on May 26, 1946, and moved to Nebraska. In 1952, they moved back to Enid for a just a year before returning to Nebraska. In March of 1958 they moved back to Enid. In June of 1960 Esther went to work for the Enid State School as an attendant. She stayed at home from 1961 to August of 1962 then went back to work for the state school and later worked as a supervisor until her retirement in August 1985. Esther is survived by her daughters Rosella Kliewer of San Antonio TX and Patricia Kliewer of Billings OK; sons Alfred Kliewer of Superior NE and Dewayne Kliewer of Billings OK; sister Dorothy Balzer and husband Marion of Enid; sisters-in-law Mary Kliewer of Strafford MO and Jo Bish of Aurora NE; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, and a sister. |

Billings, Oklahoma February 20, 2024 September 15, 1949 ~ February 20, 2024 Patricia was born September 15, 1949, in Aurora, Nebraska, to Andrew and Esther [Braun] Kliewer, and passed away February 20, 2024. She grew up on a farm in Nebraska, and moved to Enid when she was in the 2nd grade. For many years she attended Calvary Baptist Church, where she was baptized. For the last seventeen years she has lived at the Billings Fairchild Center. Patricia enjoyed reading Bible story books. She enjoyed a cup of hot tea and loved going to family get togethers. She loved the music of Alan Jackson, especially his gospel album. Patricia had a close relationship with her siblings and was happiest spending time with them. Patricia is survived by her brothers, Dewayne and Alfred; cousins, Mary Lou [Kroeker] Wiens, Debra Wells, Bryan Balzer, Kevin Balzer, Dianna Just, Lisa [Kroeker] Hamilton, Bradlee Kroeker, and Lauren [Kroeker] LaFon. |
