Robert Ernest "Bob" Kerss Jr
June 28, 1933 ~March 11, 2005


The graveside service for Robert E. Kerss Jr, 71, of Enid, will be at 12 p.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Chaplain Samuel Bridges will officiate. Arrangements are by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born June 28, 1933, in Enid to Robert E. Sr and Miley M. Haynes Kerss and died Friday, March 11, 2005, at St Mary's Regional Medical Center.

He graduated from Enid High School and attended Phillips University. He retired from the Air Force after 22 years serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

He was a member of Enid Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2270, and Disabled American Veterans.

Surviving are his wife, Carrie of the home; three sons, John R. Kerss of Terrell, Texas, Charles Kerss of Garland, Texas, and Douglas W. Kerss of Arlington, Texas; a daughter, Kathy F. Kerss of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Romona Muir; two stepsons, Alan Clark and Jeff Clark; two sisters, Marian Poplin and Aileene Kerss of Enid; a brother, Gene Kerss of Wytheville, Va.; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers. Funeral services for Charlotte Esther Morris, age 96, will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 26, 2009, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Shorty Unruh and Bob Douglas will officiate. There will be a time of visitation with the family 4-6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
