Monnie Aileene Lee Jones was born July 10, 1914 at Mobeetie, Texas to Frank and Lillie Mae Lee and passed on June 28, 2005 at her home in Enid.

She grew up in Mobeetie and graduated from high school both in Mobeetie and Wellington, TX, valedictorian of both classes. On August 11, 1939 she married Wilford Jones and they moved to Oklahoma. Over a 37 year span they served 19 pastorates throughout the state for the Methodist Church, ending with retirement in 1976 to Enid. Aileene was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Enid.

Aileene was an accomplished pianist, accompanying many gospel quartets. Her other talents were those of making a house a home for her husband and three daughters, including sewing, cooking, decorating, and supporting her family in any way possible, for which we each one are a better person.

She is survived by her husband Wilford and daughter La Nita of the home; two daughters, Leanna and her husband Roy Messenger of Hillsdale and Linda and her husband Jerry Goad of Marion, Iowa; six grandchildren, Michael Goad and wife Pamela, Mitchell Goad, Mary Goad, Scott Messenger and wife Kelli, Shannon Messenger and wife Annette, and Stephanie Peveler and husband Jon; eight great grandchildren, Christian, Ashley, Gabrielle, and Gracie Goad, Kolton Brandt, Ashlyn Messenger, Benjamin Messenger, and Taylor Massey.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will be a memorial to our beloved wife and mother at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005 in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial will follow. Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love and the United Methodist Care Ministry with Henninger-Allen serving as custodians to the fund.
