August 27, 1927 - July 4, 2019

A Celebration of Life Service for J.D. Jones, age 91, of Enid, will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Brian Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The United States Navy will perform military honors. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

J.D. was born August 27, 1927, in Tonkawa, OK, to William and Della (Baughman) Jones and passed away, Thursday, July 4, 2019, in Lawton, OK. He grew up in Texas and Oklahoma. He graduated from Orlando High School in 1945. J.D. joined the Navy after graduation and served on the USS Grimes. He attended NOJC after being discharged from the Navy. He married Wanda Maxine Henn, September 6, 1947.

He worked for various drilling companies before going to work for Schlumberger Well Services in 1951, retiring in 1986.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda of the home; two daughters, Sherri Goeke and husband Mike of Enid, Ginger Considine and husband Marty of Wellington, FL; three grandchildren, Stephen Goeke and wife Leah, Kevin Considine and Krista Considine; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor Foster, Kade and Dax Goeke, Denise, Hayden, Killian, and Kroix Considine.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Kenneth Wayne Jones.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society, with Ladusua-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
