The funeral for Edna Mae Jones, 84, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010, at First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Bruce Johnson and Rev. Grady Bohannon officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. She was born to Edgar William and Emma Virginia (Rector) Reed on Aug. 8, 1925, in Cherokee and died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, in Enid.

Edna grew up in the Aline-Cleo Springs area and attended Square Cedar School. On Oct. 1, 1940, she married Orville Leroy Jones in Cherokee. As a young wife and mother, Edna followed her husband to Army bases in Mississippi and California before he was sent to Europe to fight in World War II. She moved to Enid in 1952 and worked for Jack and Jill and Marquis Studio. Edna was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by son, Kenneth and Rennie Jones of Lahoma; daughter, LaDonna and Jay Hays of Enid; seven grandchildren, Kristin and Larry Sutton, Rod Jones, Rance and Terri Jones, Shawn and Stephanie Miller, Shayla and Jeff Watkins, Ritchie and Kim Hays and Randy and Naomi Hays; 17 great-grandchildren, John and Whitney Breeze, Cody and Amber Breeze, Tyler Sutton, Colton Jones, Brianna Jones, Logan Miller, Allyson Watkins, Alexander Watkins, Victoria Watkins, Lane Watkins, Zachary Hays, Jacob Hays, Erin Hays, Andrew Hays, Brendan Hays, Jamison Hays and Melissa Hays; and four great great-grandchildren, Trey, Zachary, Caleb and Jason Breeze.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Orville, in 2000; twin brothers; and one grandchild.

ENID - The funeral for Edna Mae Jones, 84, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010, at First Church of the Naz-arene. The Revs. Bruce Johnson and Grady Bohannon will officiate. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

She was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Cherokee to Edgar William and Emma Virginia Rector Reed and died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, in Enid.

She grew up in the Aline-CleoSprings area and attended Square Cedar School.

She married Orville Leroy Jones Oct. 1, 1940. She was an Army wife, living in Mississippi and California. He died in 2000.

She moved to Enid in 1952, where she worked for Jack & Jill and Marquis Studio. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving are one son, Kenneth Jones of Lahoma; one daughter, LaDonna Hays of Enid; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Orville, she was preceded in death by twin brothers and one grandchild.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Found-ation, kidney division.
