August 30, 1944 - July 30, 2018

The memorial service for Mary Janice Cokeley Johnson, 73, is 10 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2018, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Don Bryant will officiate. Burial is in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

Mary was born August 30, 1944, in Enid to Lewis and Nellie Cokeley, and died Monday, July 30, 2018, at her home.

She was a 1962 graduate of Enid High School and received a degree in education from Phillips University in 1966. She worked in the Enid Public Schools system for 36 years, teaching both Spanish and English at Emerson Junior High.

On July 25, 1964, Mary married Leonard Keith Johnson. They made their home in Enid. Together they enjoyed antiquing, attending country and western concerts, and caring for their many pets. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2013.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Don and Leonard.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
