The funeral for Johnny Johnson, 65, Pond Creek, is 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at First Christian Church, Pond Creek. Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with family is 6-7 p.m. This evening, Oct. 25, 2016, at the funeral home.

Johnny Lee Johnson was born to Grady and Betty (Gallagher) Johnson on July 13, 1951, in Kermit, Texas, and passed away Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016. Johnny graduated from Kremlin High School in 1969. He attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University and graduated with a degree in industrial arts education. Johnny married his true love, Jeanne Romhild March 14, 1981.

Johnny was a jack of many trades. He worked as a high school shop teacher, handy man, truck driver, and meter reader to name a few. He worked as a store room manager at OG&E for many years and retired in 2013. Johnny was a real character. He had a million stories to tell and was always ready with a corny joke. He had a heart for helping people and loved his family and friends. Johnny's life was lived in such a way that he had enough experiences to fill several volumes. He will be greatly missed, but his laughter and stories will continue through those who remember him.

Johnny is survived by his daughter, McKiesha Claypole and husband, Clint; daughter, Shannon Culler and husband, Jason; and grandchildren, Avery, Kadyn, Brooks, Reese, and Jaxon.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanne; son, Curtis Johnson; parents, Grady and Betty Johnson; and brother, Luke Johnson.

Memorials may be made to Bennie's Barn. The guestbook is available online at www.AndersonBurris.com.
