Frances Lucile Hardy Johnson

The funeral service for Frances Lucile (Hardy) Johnson, 89, who died early Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, in Oklahoma City, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at New Hope United Methodist Church. The Rev. Susan Southall will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery . Service is under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home .

Frances was born Dec. 3, 1920, near Kremlin, OK, to Walter and Lucile (Malter) Hardy.

On April 30, 1945, she married Arthur Johnson. They lived on a farm in Kremlin until 1980, when they moved to Enid. She worked as a phone operator and later at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center until her retirement. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and the Country Club Homemakers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur in 2000; grandson, Russell Clark in 2005; and sister, Tola Jenkins.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Janice Clark and husband Jerry of Enid; son, Harold Johnson and wife Vicki of Oklahoma City; three grandsons, Rod-ney Clark and wife Shawn, Bradley Johnson and Dustin Johnson; one granddaughter, Tonia Clark; three great-granddaughters, Kourtney Clark, Jessie Clark and Johanna Clark; one great-grandson, Tristan Clark. Also, two sisters, Virginia Lee Wuerflein of Kremlin and Helen Tefft and husband Lerayne of Enid, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends who wish to do so may contribute to American Lung Association with the funeral home acting as custodian of the fund.
