Celebration of Life for Dorothy M. Johnson, age 80, of Enid , will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Shorty Unruh officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born April 7, 1928, in Carnegie, OK, to Frank and Emma Froese Unruh and passed away Friday, September 26, 2008, in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center after a courageous fight with cancer.

Dorothy attended and graduated from Alden Public Schools. On August 14, 1949, Dorothy married Robert L. Johnson in the Greenfield Mennonite Church in Fort Cobb, OK, and they were married for 56 years. Dorothy came to the Enid community in 1956. She was a member of Grace Mennonite Church.

Dorothy is survived by three daughters, Glenda and her husband, Wilbur (Jack) Unruh of Bethany, OK, Connie and her husband, Gary Burdick of Enid , Becky and her husband, Bob Weathers of Custer City, OK; one son, Tim and Debbie Johnson of Enid ; one brother, Leslie and his wife, Linda of Virginia Beach, Virginia; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, parents and one brother, Raymond.

She was a person of great creativity. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, flowers and floral arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Grace Mennonite Church Building Fund with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the loving care given to our mother by Dr. Dexeus and staff and all the nurses in skilled nursing at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.
