The funeral for Carolyn Jean Johnson 76, year-old Enid resident will be 2:00PM Monday, January 25, 2016 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Dennis Elder will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Carolyn was born on June 30, 1939 in Enid to Carl and Lydia (Githens) Hess and died Thursday, January 21, 2016 in the Garland Road Nursing Home. She attended local schools and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1957. After graduation she attended Enid Business College. In the spring of 1961 she married Wilbur Johnson in Gainesville, Texas. The couple made their home in Enid where she was a homemaker and helped Wilbur with his farming. She was a long-time member of Davis Park Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Wilbur, of the home, her daughter Debbie Coulter and husband Myron of Aline, Grandchildren; Brian Coulter of McWillie, OK., Lindsay and Matt Garinger of Waukomis and Lacey and Greg Williams of Enid. Great-grandchildren; Kaylee, Kelsey, Keegan, Bryson, Brynli, and Kasen. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son David.

Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to OMRF (COPD Division).
