A Celebration of Life Service for Ruth E. Jindra, age 84, of Broken Arrow, formerly of Enid, will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with Rev. Tom Branch officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Ruth was born September 9, 1934, south of Okeene in Blaine County, to Alex and Wilhemina (Minnie) Dorbinski Lorenz and passed away December 3, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She married Ernest William Jindra on March 30, 1957, in Enid, and he passed away December 10, 1987.

She graduated from Enid General School of Nursing in September 1957. She worked for Enid General Hospital from 1957 to 1963 and later worked for Enid State School from 1963 until she retired in 1995. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Enid and St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow.

Ruth is survived by her children, Randy W. Jindra and wife Sheila of Coweta, OK, Barbara A Johnston and husband Michael of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, David Jindra and partner Delta Downs, Lori McGuire and husband Justyn, and Kevin Jindra; great-grandchildren, McKaylah Johnson, Austin Johnson, Harper McGuire, Scarlett Jindra, Molly Lauderdale, and Devin Lauderdale; a sister, Ramona Jameson; and brother, Fred Lorenz.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Lorenz, Evelyn Bredel, and Norlyn Lietzke.

Memorials may be made to Broken Arrow Senior Center with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
