Funeral rites for Spec/4 Michael Steven Jett, who was killed in action in Vietnam were at 2 PM today in the Bible Baptist Church.

Reverend T. A. Chick officiated and burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

Jett died May 23 when the helicopter on which he was an observer drashed in the Republic of Vietnam while on a military mission.

Jett is survived by his father, Carl L. Jett, 725 E. Randolph; his mother, Mrs. Anna May Robinson, Modesto, California; a sister, Sandra and a brother, Joseph, both of the home; his maternal great – grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Byrd of Fowler and his maternal great – great – grandmother, Mrs. Katie Thompson of Las Vegas, Nevada.
