© Enid Morning News Enid, Oklahoma December 1975 Novewmber 4, 1886 ~ December 31, 1975 Thomas Jefferson, 89, 621 N.Grand, died in a local hospital early Wednesday morning following a period of ill health. He was born November 4, 1886, in Texas, came to Enid some 30 years ago and had lived here since. He owned and operated his own saw sharpening business at his home. Jefferson was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War I, having served with the Army. He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews including Ruth Serber of Uvalde, Texas, and Mrs Mary Withers of Fort Worth, Texas. Funeral services for Jefferson will be at 2 PM Friday in the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with his nephew, Dr Melton Jefferson of Liverpool, New York, conducting the service. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery with American Legion Post No 4 conducting graveside rites. |
