Mrs. Roy (Irene Milam) Jackson, 80, 1108 W. Pine, died Friday morning in a local hospital after a long illness.

She was born at Amorita, January 27, 1897, and attended schools in the Byron – Amorita communities. She and Roy Jackson were married August 26, 1917, at Amorita and made their home in Clovis, New Mexico, until 1918.

They lived for a while in Canadian, Texas, and Ft. Scott, Kansas, before moving to Enid in 1923.

Mrs. Jackson was a member of first Presbyterian Church and the Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband Roy of the home; a son, Joe of Bisbee, Arizona; four grandchildren; eight great – grandchildren. A daughter and a brother preceded her in death.

Funeral service for Mrs. Jackson will be at 2 PM Sunday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Monti Caywood and the Rev. Harold Caywood officiating. She will be buried in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Those who wish may contribute to the Garfield County Diabetes Association in her memory. The funeral home will serve as custodian of the Memorial fund.
