OBITUARY

Funeral services for Barbara Joy Jackson, age 73, will be 2 p.m. today, March 1, 2006, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel. Pastor Ted Kuschel will officiate. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements made by Ladusau-Evans Funeral home.

Barbara was born October 9, 1932, near Norris City, Illinois, to Luther E. and Lucille Graves Medlin. She died in Edmond, OK, February 25, 2006. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph “Bud” Jackson of Edmond, OK; daughters, Carol and husband Glenn Peel of Houston, TX, Sheri and husband Lloyd Lewis of Owasso, OK, Kim and husband Scot Holcombe of Bartlesville, OK, Debra and husband Steve Addison of Smyrna, TN, Valerie and Husband Mitch Matt of Kansas City, MO, and Cindy and husband Chris Stinson of Millken, CO; sisters, Bonnie Smith, Linda Mullican, and Donna Clifton; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

ENID, Okla. — Celebration of Life service for Joseph "Bud" Jackson, 79, of Edmond, Okla., formerly of Enid, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2014, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Mitch Matt officiating.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Joseph was born Dec. 26, 1934, in Decatur, Ill., the son of Claude and Josephine Ruth Carter Jackson.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He was employed by the Dr. Pepper and Pepsi Bottling companies for over 35 years.

In his later years, he attended and graduated from barber school and was employed by the Wilshire Barber Shop in Oklahoma City.

He enjoyed quilting and was an excellent seamstress, woodworking, reading and watching movies. Saturdays were spent with his daughters, eating out and going to a movie.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra Addison and her fiancé Bob Semmel of Oklahoma City, Okla., Valerie Matt and her husband Mitch of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Joseph, Travis, Nicholas and Benjamin; two sisters, Virginia Roberts of Enid, Okla., and June Fletcher of Hanna City, Ill.; numerous nieces, nephews and his dog, Patches.

Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Sandra and Cindy; four grandchildren, Jason, Joshua, Jessica and Ryan; his parents; and two sisters, Betty and Sue.

Memorial contributions may be made to donor's choice, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
