Billy Harrison Ishmael
September 15, 1926 ~ July 27, 2012

Billy was always happy, full of life and at times slightly ornery.

It seemed he knew everyone and he would stop to talk at every chance. He was interested in everything and everyone.

His lightheartedness will be remembered by his family and friends.

Billy was born October 15, 1926, in Enid to Elmer and Nellie Blauvelt Ishmael.

He attended school in Enid and then enlisted with the Merchant Marine. When he returned home, he married Alma Peterman in Enid on Jan. 12, 1947.

He was employed with Southwestern Bell for 32 years, retiring in 1982. He started farming in the Drummond community in 1954 and retired from that in 1988.

He traveled with his wife and spent some winters in south Texas and summers in Colorado.

He was a member of the Puritan Congregational United Church of Christ in Drummond.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma in February 2001.

He is survived by his children, Rex Ishmael and wife Sherrie in Stillwater, David Ishmael and wife Jamie in Dallas; Tammy Hodge and husband Keith of Florence, Colorado.
