Carl Christopher Immel
July 15, 1888 ~ January 27, 1955


Carl Christopher Immel, age 66, died in a local hospital Thursdan morning after a brief illness.

He was born in Iowa and came to Oklahoma in 1900 and has lived in Enid sincew that time.

He was connected to the Enid school system for the past 5 years.

He belonged to the Central Christian Church.

Survivors are his wife, Ada, two daughters, Mrs Ze Stucky of Calgary, Canada and Mrs Wilbur Ford of Carrier, two sons, Carl Theodore "Ted" Immel of Enid and Warren H. "Jack" Immel of Houston, Texas, ten grandchildren, four sisters and two brothers.

His services are pending at Henninger-Allen Funewral Home.

April 10, 1921 ~ September 15, 2011


Funeral service for Dorotha Belle Immel, 90, of Enid, will be 2 pm Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at Central Christian Church with Rev John McLemore officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Dorotha was born April 10, 1921, in Cherokee, Okla., to William C. McSparrin and Goldie Delores Turner and passed away Thursday, September 15, 2011, at Greenbrier Nursing Home Skilled Unit.

She was raised near Goltry and attended Goltry schools. She attended beauty college.

Dorotha married Ted Immel January 22, 1941, in Enid, Okla. They lived in Kansas and Missouri before moving back to Enid. He passed away March 21, 2003.

She was an active member of Central Christian Church, where she was active in the Sooner Sunday school class, CWF, Centours and Caregivers, and was an elder emeritus of the church.

Dorotha is survived by her son, Rev Terry Immel and wife Linda of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Rebecca J. Schwanke and husband John of Hiawatha, Kan.; brother, Rex McSparrin of Tonkawa, Okla.; four grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Don and Max McSparrin.
