Elbert Leroy "Roy" Imel Jr
September 21, 1938 ~ July 20, 2005

The funeral for Elbert LeRoy "Roy" Imel Jr., 66, of Cleveland, Okla., will be 2 pm Saturday at Ladusau-Evans Chapel. The Rev Marvin Goodpasture will officiate. Burial and military services will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm today at the funeral home.

He was born September 21, 1938, in Enid to Elbert L. Sr and Juanita Umbarger Imel and died Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at Muskogee Veterans Administration Medical Center.

He graduated high school in 1956 and attended University of Oklahoma. He joined the Army in 1961. He married Irene Maly on Aug. 22, 1978, in Albuquerque, N.M. He worked as a car salesman, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and Enid Big Hat Club with AMBUCS.

Surviving are his wife, Irene, of the home; two sons, Randy Imel of McKinney, Texas, and Brad Imel of Frisco, Texas; one daughter, Trish Lowe of Owasso; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by one daughter, one grandson and one brother.
